In my previous post, I talked about how attentive our dining staff was when we cruised on the Disney Fantasy. I have to once again say a great big THANK YOU to our Head Server, Jaime Martins; our Server, Bruno Lima; and our Assistant Server, Nicolas Rodriguez.
Special Note About Servers and Tipping
The dining staff during my cruise was phenomenal! They not only personally took the best care of me, but of all my other 7, normal eating table mates. There was one other member of our table with less-stringent dining limitations who was very well taken care of also. The servers learn and live by the Disney philosophy. Guests are very important and they should strive to please every guest. Still, though, they are individuals and, as such, they act on their own accord. I am so blessed to have had the wonderful cast members I did — especially Bruno and Jaime. I had paid the pre-paid gratuities before the cruise, but I did tip them over and beyond for the personalized and caring treatment they provided for me.
Everyone is fighting some kind of battle, ours just happens to severely restrict our food palate or, as I often joke, God is forcing me — kicking and screaming — into the best health of my life. Be thankful for such people in this world who care to provide you with the best experience possible. They are working hard and I truly appreciate them with all my heart. I hope to see them again when my hubby and I sail the same cruise again in October. We will be requesting them. Hopefully, I will be well on the road to recovery by then and able to eat many more foods. Still, I know that if that is not possible, I will be well taken care of on a Disney ship to anywhere.
