Disney has introduced a new feature of the MyDisneyExperience app. The Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering tool is now in full swing, but you might be wondering what it is and, even more importantly, how to use it. Here is the information you will need for using this tool during your next visit.
What is it?
This new feature allows guests to pre-order their food at select Walt Disney World quick-service restaurants. Rather than waiting in line to order and then waiting for your food, you can order right from your mobile device and schedule a pick-up time. This sounds great and I can picture myself ordering my food while taking a break on the TTA PeopleMover. What’s even better is that it is easy to use.
How do I use it?
I think the interface is very straight-forward and user-friendly. Simply log into your Disney account and follow these 6 easy steps:
Step 1: Tap on the image of your character and scroll down to “My Plans.” (picture shown above)
Step 2: Press the “Order Food” button. Now, the restaurant choices will populate and you can choose one.
For this example, I chose Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom park.
Step 3: Choose “Order Food.” This enables you to build your order. Once you’ve completed your selections, tap “View My Order” at the bottom.
It will prompt you to add a drink or another addition to your order.
Step 4: Tap “Review Order Summary.” The app will show you when you can pick up your order and allows you to pay for your order.
Step 5: Enter your payment information and then click “Purchase.”
Now, you can pick up your meal when it’s time and go straight for the kill, rather than waiting in line to order and then to pick up your food.
Note: If I was in the park and completed the Purchase, I would have received a specific time for pick-up.
